Calum1916 UEFA have fined Ajax £21,110 after their fans unfurled an offensive banner during their Champions League game against Celtic. The message, directed at travelling supporters, was shown by home fans at the Amsterdam ArenA on November 6. A statement from the governing body read: The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has fined AFC Ajax €25,000 for the improper conduct of their supporters (article 16.2 of the disciplinary regulations) and specifically for the displaying of an offensive banner at their UEFA Champions League group stage match against Celtic FC on 6 November in Amsterdam. Clashes between Celtic fans and police in the city ahead of the match, which has led to six Celtic fans facing on trial, falls outside of UEFAs jurisdiction.
