Cambodia 2 Update 4 Posted: Tuesday, June 17, 2014 Wednesday, June 18 Cambodia 2 Update Today is a travel day. After morning prayers and worship, well begin a long bus ride from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Under normal conditions, its a 7-hour drive, but the monsoons have washed out many of the roads. Please pray travel is smooth and safe today. Highlights from the past couple of days include a visit to the IJM (International Justice Mission) field office in Phnom Penh, a visit to Bloom Cafe for cupcakes, Kids Club, a fun day at the Freedom Salon, and having dinner and hearing a testimony from the Trotter family who are missionaries serving in here in the capital city. By far one of the best moments we have experienced so far was doing an extreme makeover of the Freedom Salons dorm room. This included completely painting and redecorating the dorm with all new bedding. When the girls saw their new surroundings, the joy mixed with tears, expressed their heartfelt gratitude. We appreciate your ongoing prayers for travel safety, team unity, and hearts of surrender. Please pray we are ENCOURAGERS, EXAMPLES, and SERVANTS on a dry-thirsty land. My favorite part so far was when we went to kids club and danced with the little kids for 2 hours!
