Cambodia Expresses Condolences Over the Crash of Military Aircraft of Lao PDR AKP Phnom Penh, May 17, 2014 – Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has sent a condolence message to his Lao counterpart over the crash of the military aircraft killing 44 people. “I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the crash of the Military Aircraft of the Lao PDR that killed 44 people on board, including many members of the Lao government on May 17, 2014,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen said today in his message to H.E. Thongsing Thammavong, Prime Minister of Lao PDR. “On this very sad moment, on behalf of the Royal Government and people of Cambodia, allow me to convey to Your Excellency and through you to the Government and people of the Lao PDR as well as the bereaved families, my deepest sympathy and profound condolences for such a huge loss in this most unfortunate and tragic accident,” he added. On the same day, H.E. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, also sent a condolence message to his Lao counterpart, H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith. “On this moment of profound grief, I would like to convey to Your Excellency and through you to the victims and members of the bereaved families, my deepest sorrow and profound condolences for this most unfortunate and tragic accident,” he said.
