Cambodia update from Mr. Cowle: We have had the most amazing day. The school came out en masse to line the driveway and the parents were there too. I got choked up. The reception was simply outstanding. We had such a great time. We played volleyball on the newly cleared ground - it was very symbolic! Then the absolute highlight of the trip, our sojourn into the minefield. Everyone was awesome. They detonated four claymore style mines at once and let Sasha Pinto and Sylvia Andrade set them off. What a shock! Anyways, everyone has even more inspiration as to why we did this project. Your children will have great stories to tell you when they return. We were much closer to the miners, although they stop working when we are too close. Each student got to go up to two antipersonnel mines and photgraph them. Well, off to dinner we go. Angkor Wat tomorrow. Oh we are in Siem Reap and at our hotel. Talk to you all soon.
