Cambodia’s First Vice President of Senate Receives Russian Delegation AKP Phnom Penh, December 05, 2014 – First Vice President of the Cambodian Senate H.E. Say Chhum received on Dec. 4 in Phnom Penh a visiting delegation of Russia’s Upper House of Parliament led by H.E. Evgeny Serebrennikov, Senator and First Vice Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security. According to H.E. Mam Bunneang, Spokesperson for the Senate, H.E. Evgeny Serebrennikov affirmed that Russia had eyed the investment opportunities in many sectors in Cambodia which would provide more job opportunities to the Cambodian people. Russia will encourage more Russian investors to do business in Cambodia, and through the investment, the cooperation between the two countries will be further consolidated and expanded, added H.E. Evgeny Serebrennikov. The president of Russia’s Upper House of Parliament, accompanied by many Russian investors, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Cambodia in the near future, focusing on the development in all sectors and the investment between the two countries, he underlined. In reply, H.E. Say Chhum expressed thanks to the Russian delegation for its commitment to convince Russian investors to Cambodia, which will contribute to reducing poverty and boosting the economic growth in Cambodia.
