Cambuslang girl is a singing sensation Jun 19 2013 by Douglas Dickie, Rutherglen Reformer A Cambuslang girl is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Taylor Swift after performing in front of her biggest audience yet. Anais Sneddon (10), from Drumsagard Village, performed a solo version of the American stars hit Love Story at the recent June Fox Dance Academy annual show. And it proved to be a real hit, with the crowd at the Mitchell Theatre in Glasgow giving her a standing ovation. Proud dad James said: She was amazing. The audience were on their feet clapping. I had tears in my eyes. We were really, really proud of her. Shes a massive fan of Taylor Swift, thats her hero. Anais, who goes to Hallside Primary, has been a member at June Fox since she was four. As well as singing, she takes classes for a variety of dance genres including hip-hop, jazz , ballet and modern dance. She has performed at gala days and even reached the second phase of Britains Got Talent when she was only nine-years- old. James said: She absolutely loves performing, she loves it all, dance and singing. Shes writing her own music and we send her to piano lessons. Shes really into music , thats where she wants to go in life. Shes our own precious little star, our hero. James said Anais wants to thank June Fox for the: opportunity to perform and express her talent and passion for dancing and singing in front of such a great turnout.
