Camden County Prosecutors Office of New Jersey and Haddonfield Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man found dead in Haddonfield Borough Monday October 28, 2013. An autopsy performed Tuesday morning was not able to determine the cause of death of the man. Ten to eleven stab wounds on the body led detectives to initially think the death was suspicious, but the autopsy revealed the stab wounds had been treated and sutured at a hospital and were not a likely cause of death. Toxicology results are pending. Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office believe the stab wounds were treated five to ten days prior to the man’s death and are hopeful the injuries will be helpful in identifying the victim. Law enforcement officials are asking area hospitals that may have treated these kinds of injuries within the past two weeks to contact the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. In addition, the man had distinctive tattoos all located on his right arm and pictures of those are attached. One tattoo reads “DJ REG,” and is decorated with musical notes, turntables and flames. Another reads “Princess #1 Mom,” with a crown tattooed over the first “M” in “MOM”. A third tattoo reads “Gamble” surrounded by dice, flames and a skull. Anyone who recognizes these tattoos should also contact the Prosecutor’s Office. Joggers found the man’s body shortly before 5 p.m. in a marshy, wooded area near Merion Avenue in Haddonfield. He appears to have been dead for several days. He is described as a light-skinned black male, five feet, seven inches to five feet, eight inches tall, weighing 130 to 140 pounds, in his early 20s. Anyone with information should contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Chuck Farrell at (856) 225-8400 or email information to [email protected].
