Came across a 77 Lincoln Town Car in the junkyard. Car has a 2.50 geared 9 inch under it. My 69 F100 currently has a 3.25 gear in it and turns a little harder than Id like at 50+ MPH and really screams at 70 mph on the interstate. I really want to grab this center chunk and stick it in my truck, but as you can see it has this funky double U-joint setup on it. Would it be relatively simple to swap the yoke, or possibly just put the flanged yoke on my F100 drive shaft? I do very little towing with this truck and its about to start being driven 30 miles on the interstate everyday, so this should be great to get RPM down/increase gas mileage, Im hoping.
