Came across this. I rarely get mad but right now, I am. I have said a million times to friends and collaborators, fellow Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Atheists: God bless you, May God protect you, May God guide you. It is a kind gesture, kind words from a person of a certain faith. I get the same (Thank God!) from many of different faiths and I feel truly privileged. Has political correctness reached the point that we cannot freely be who we are for the sake of keeping the masses content? We keep promoting tolerance... where is our tolerance towards positive, encouraging words simply because of a religious reference? And to perceive this as a conspiracy of the religious right taking over our country is pure hogwash. Kinds words with a kind intent. Simple. And commendable. That you believe in God or not. God bless you all, all, all.
