Came to me while Driving this morning. Think Ill call this sermon in a stadium or ANOTHER reason I like football Im sure this is no new revelation, Maybe its even something Ive heard before just now resurfacing in my Sub conscience. Football, four 15 minute quarters of the pursuit of perfection in an imperfect world constantly challenged by an adversary. These four 15 minute quarters represent life the Bible tells us that our lives are a mere vapor. ever so short. Our adversary is satin (or Auburn, for you Bama fans). Fans are angels. The Bible tells us the angels in heaven rejoice when a lost soul is Saved. Coaches, Arkansass head coach reportedly being paid $5.1 million. Being the third highest paid coach in college football. Our coach is Jesus Christ, who instead of being paid, paid the ultimate sacrifice. He literally died so that we May live and He is there to guide us on every move (or play). Play book, (Gods Holy Word) we need to know it backwards and forewords! Or it least have strapped to your wrist for quick and frequent reference. Flag on the play (sin). We can challenge this call (repent). When this happens in life it WILL sound like this After further review the penalty on the play has been overruled, slate is wiped clean, ARKANSAS first down! (Well thats how it sounds to me...). The good news friends is if Jesus Christ is your coach you are on the winning team! If hes not, please read play book and open your heart to the words inside so that we may all spend eternity in heaven. If your reading this hope to see you there!!!
