Came to the realization that Id def be the first white chick to get killed off in a horror flick. Told my husband tonight that I was going to the gym. Lie. I was going up on a mountain in the rain at dusk to look for a lost dog. Went up a steep ass driveway of stone to a log cabin. Pretty isolated. Knocked on a door. No answer. Didnt leave. No, I had to find another door to knock on. A man and a woman opened it. Invited me in. Duh, I went in. Right there would be my first time getting picked off. Go deeper into the house with them behind me....we chat next to the blood red countertops, and I finally make my excuse to leave. Searching for the dog in the woods when I prob should have been driving away...lady calls me back up to the house. I go. They tell me to come in again, that I might slide on the cliff and its better to go through the house....the BASEMENT to be exact. I go. Dead twice right there. Leave again and renter the creepy dark woods. Find some abandoned outbuildings. Go near them. Fall in a hole. Almost pee and decide its time for the stupid white girl to leave this horror flick NOW. Disclaimer: the folks were really sweet and have been feeding a missing scared dog for two weeks. Shes afraid of dogs. And the blood red counters? Recycled glass in a kitchen she redesigned herself in a gorgeous log cabin. No, I didnt find the dog. But I lived to tell about it.
