Cameron came to the shelter in March emaciated and heartworm - TopicsExpress

Cameron came to the shelter in March emaciated and heartworm positive. She became a staff favorite, and Tracy, the kennel manager at the time, saved her life by fostering her. This summer, Cameron became a Freedman Foster in a trade. She had already put some weight on, and the shelter treated her heartworms. A couple adopted Cameron last month but returned her Friday. I reached out to a family that had contacted me about Cammie just as her first adoption was finalized, and they were so excited to meet Cammie, I brought her over Sunday, 48 hours after she was returned. This family had fallen in love with Cameron after reading her story and seeing her photos, and they were devastated when I told them she had been adopted. Mom and Dad were sold on her, and within 24 hours, the adoption paperwork was complete, thanks to Kim. Cameron went home to her real forever home with twin brothers last night. As Dorothy said, fate had something better in mind for this sweet girl. Cameron will be spoiled and adored in her new home, and I couldnt be happier for her. Thank you to everyone at the shelter who made Camerons happily ever after possible. Merry Christmas!
