Cameroon: One Die, Four Injured in Plane Crash Reports say a passenger is reported dead and four others injured when a helicopter flying from Chad crash landed around the Ngaoundéré airport in the northern part of Cameroon on Monday June 10. One of the five passengers who were onboard at the time of the accident (a mechanic) died hours later at the Ngaoundéré regional hospital where they were rushed for treatments, according to reports from Adamawa. The accident assembled city dwellers who stood helplessly at the scene stirring wreckage of the plane which had left the Chadian capital N’Djamena early Monday for maintenance in Cameroon’s economic capital, Douala. The plane which suffered technical hitches was matriculated TTBAU and belonged to a Chadian cotton producing company. It crash landed at 90 degrees in a swampy area. Administrative authorities and the forces of law and order in Ngaoundéré on hearing the news reported to the scene to rescue the situation.
