Camp reflections: .... I love it how both camps I recently organized are speaking the same message ie passion. That v all are/can be passionate people. But where do v channel our passion? And is our passion single? If we are salt n light, are we salty and are v bright AND visible? No point shining ever so brightly but being hidden and no one is affected by its brightness. ... Im convinced that my heart is for this nation, and that the young people (when discipled accordingly) is the hope for the church to be that medium that God will bring transformasi that we long for. ... For every camp I go, I am determined to bring Ps Melissa along. We pastors also need to bounce off thoughts and share our reflections with another. Besides, shes very the low maintenance, counsels people for me, and summarize the camp so well I might as well invite her to be the speaker next year. ... I absolutely enjoy the camp planning. Kudos to Newton Lellang Jon who though busy, took the challenge to lead the team, and delegated really well to Chin Jun Liang Lee Han Jiang Eirene Chow En Yi Daniel Ong Marcus Ding C Jit How Catherine Khor Choo Khai Kern. They are the nicest people to work with. ... Camps need not be all crying, wailing, and altar calls for it to be life changing. We are not called to be inward looking. Commitment to follow Christ does not need to be loud, lest we make it to be all about ourselves. And it shouldnt be a private covenant between u and God as if you and you alone make up the people of God. Community matters. We need one another to build the kingdom of God. Now, much to be/do after camp ;)
