Established in 1901 by a small group of leaders, the JNF worked vehemently to establish the groundwork for the birth of the nation of Israel. Today, with the support of prominent Jewish community foundations and philanthropists, JNF performs groundbreaking work to develop the land of Israel through a variety of multifaceted initiatives. To accomplish this work, JNF seeks to recruit an experienced Fundraiser for the Palm Springs area. The purpose of the Fundraiser is to develop relationships with prospective and current donors to raise money for Jewish National Fund’s National Campaign to support projects and programs for Israel. The main expectation for accomplishing this is through solicitations and board development. The Campaign Executive will be responsible for fundraising throughout Rancho Mirage, Sun City, Palm Desert and Palm Springs areas. Job Accountabilities: Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of donors, both new and prospective Developing and identifying major gift prospects Board and/or Committee development, cultivation and membership Providing professional leadership and management for Boards and/or Committees Mission recruitment Event Fundraising Job Qualifications: 2-5 years fundraising experience (or similar sales experience) Knowledge of and familiarity with the Jewish Community in the Rancho Mirage, Sun City, Palm Desert and Palm Springs areas Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Bachelor’s degree Creative self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team player Superior problem solving and multi-tasking ability Possible travel to other cities and Israel Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Database) TO APPLY: Qualified candidates, please send your resume and cover letter with salary to [email protected]
