Campout, movies, games, dunk tank, birthday cake, kids playing all night…oh and some racing too! What a fun filled weekend at Langley BMX. Thank you everyone that came to be a part of it all. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Family fun weekend continued this morning with a delicious pancake & sausage breakfast complimented with parfaits, and muffins. Was great enjoying the morning treats with some new bmx friends as we opened the track for Sunday racing. As with yesterday, we had another great turnout of almost 90 riders, and the half trackers came out in full force! As usual, awesome battles on the track, with some really close calls at the finish line, I sure am glad i dont have to make those calls! Im so impressed with the skill level all the riders, especially those new to the sport this year, are putting out on the track. You guys are doing fantastic, and its great to see everyone having fun doing it...keep it up! Thanks Bea for making the piñatas for the lil kids to have fun with! Was hilarious watching all the kids dive right in once the candies came pouring out...fun fun fun! Huge thanks to everyone that helped put it all together, and keep it together! You guys are awesome and your efforts in helping out throughout the weekend was spectacular. The finish line ladies, 50/50 ticket sellers, corner marshals, concession, track watering etc. The list goes on and everyone that stepped up absolutely rocked it! And thanks everyone for helping out with the cleanup afterwards, as it was quite an undertaking! Stay tuned for the long weekend race schedule. Were trying to determine whether there will be enough exec team on hand Labour Day weekend to have racing on Sunday and Practice on Monday. Ill have some pics i took yesterday up soon...didnt get to take as many pics as i wanted though. See you all at gate practice monday night!
