Campus Support Manager-East, Information Technology Services Parramatta Campus Ref 1545/14 Full Time Ongoing Position The University of Western Sydney is a large, multi campus institution located in Greater Western Sydney where almost a tenth of Australia’s population lives. Information Technology Services (ITS) is a key service provider within the University. It is responsible for the strategic deployment and support of information and communication technology, to support the University in teaching, learning, research and outreach. Academic and Campus Experience represents the ‘face of IT’ to UWS students and staff across each campus. It provides phone, remote access and on-site support to ensure all incidents and requests for support are managed as efficiently as possible to provide a great customer experience. This is one of three team management positions responsible for the delivery of IT support to students and staff across UWS’s various campuses. The successful candidate will have extensive experience, preferably supported by relevant qualifications, in the management of IT user support services using a recognised framework such as ITIL. They will be able to demonstrate effective leadership in providing information technology services in a large, complex and rapidly changing organisation. They will have significant management experience, including capacity to proactively manage a large team to meet diverse and at times competing priorities in a changing environment, working under pressure with minimal supervision. They will have excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and customer service skills. The successful candidate will have sound practical knowledge of relevant best practice frameworks such as project management (PRINCE2) and IT Service Management (ITIL) as well as a broad understanding of PC hardware, software systems, audio visual technologies, the elements that comprise an IT infrastructure and how these interrelate and support teaching, learning and research.
