Can Cloning and DNA sampling from poached animals help the planet preserve endangered species after they are gone in the wild? If Rangers were to take tissue samples from animals poached for various reasons, like ivory, rhino horn and such, could they be preserved for 50-100 years to allow the poaching business to shut down due to no supply, and then have these animals reintroduced (with or without genetic modifications) to their old stomping grounds with a greater genetic diversity than there currently is (if using Protected Habitat animals (Zoos etc) to augment the programme)
