Can ECI answer as to what happened to 3251 votes in Kulgam : Aabid Hussain Wani to Sachnews Jammu Kashmir : Political Engineering or what ? Was playing with few numbers of Kulgam election and came across this confusing inequation. Kulgam has a total voter base of 94049 as per Election Commission of India figures. And as per official statement issued by ECI the voting percentage in Kulgam was 59% means 56429 votes in absolute. Now, a twist! As per the official website of ECI the no of candidates contesting in Kulgam were 8 with votes 20574 CPI, 20240 PDP, 8273 NC , 1944 BJP, 519 congress, 483 Independent , 350 Independent and 121 BSP . In addition to this Nota had 674 votes. Now the total of all this is only 53178. Can ECI answer as to what happened to 3251 votes
