Can God cure broken legs, blindness and chronic illness? Yes! I have seen it happen, personally experienced it and heard from people who have been healed more times than I can count. But the fact is that most of us still have to get our broken limbs set. So too it is with mental illness. What a shame there is so much ignorance about mental illness, both outside and inside of the church. If we believe that the only course of action for treating mental illness is to read our bibles and pray, we make the mistake of treating mental illness as merely an attitude problem; a sin that needs to be repented of.
