Can I PLEASE say something? Just a few years ago a surfer dude, literal surfer dude lost $4 million of other peoples money in an internet start-up. Failure, right? Well, he kept surfing and along the way tried coming up with this way to take surfies (which are selfies for surfers). He rigged a waterproof disposable camera to his wrist, a few tweaks later, he was out selling them to surf shops out of this van. Then through a few more tweaks he made one more compact that took video also. He was still selling them as a camera for photos until he made enough money to buy race car lessons. While out on the track he wanted to video tape his experience and these video guys were ready to rig super expensive equipment to this race car and he says, I have one in my car I can clamp right on here and its super small. To their sheer amazement, the video quality was phenomenal and he had an epiphany! This was the true explosion point for GoPro cameras. He is now officially a billionaire. Did you know that 8 out of 10 billionaires alive today are SELF MADE! Meaning they started with zero like you and I. ONLY 2 out of 10 inherited their billions. We are in the weakest economy the US has seen probably since the depression and while records are being set for people on food stamps, disability and unemployment, new millionaires and yes billionaires are out there making it. This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! The greatest country probably in all of world history. We have endless opportunities to go out there and make it. What are you doing differently than you were 5 or 10 years ago. Heck, what are you doing differently than you were 2 years ago? You are bound to get the same results unless you change. What idea have you been sitting on? Why not get to tinkering with it vs. wasting your time on Facebook or TV or Youtube??? If I can take a step back to reality for a second and make something CLEARLY RELEVANT TO THE YOU OF TODAY. Being that I am a photographer, this will be related. A friend of mine, single mom working 40 hrs a week, barely making it, wants to become a photographer and asks for my advice. I share something this simple to get started. Just offer super inexpensive $50 photo shoots for your friends babies. If you book 20 of them that is an extra $1000.00. You do not have to aspire to be a millionaire... You could do the same thing with a lawn mower. You can do the same thing with a squeegee, bucket and pole, washing windows. Trust me I have done all of the above!!!! HECK, GET THIS!!! Do you know how many of the Dirty Jobs people are millionaires? Yes, the guy who did Dirty Jobs is now going around giving speeches about what I am talking about right here. Now not all of them are millionaires, but close to half of them are and what are they doing? Some of the stuff you and I are too good to do! Shame on us! In closing, just remember that 5 years from now will be here in the blink of an eye. Just 5 years ago, GoPro was a waterproof off the shelf camera strapped to a surfers wrist. Now he is a billionaire. Where will you be?
