Can I kindly and humbly give a picture of Christ that died for my sins. Being a disciple of Christ doesnt only take to confess your sins, but you believe that Jesus died for your sins, and that He rose again, repent and be baptized.... Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. People must hear the gospel, repent, accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and be saved. Nobody can be a Christian from his mothers womb. Else, show me one example of somebody who was born a Christian in the Acts of Apostles, the book that contains the account of those that heard from Christ direct, and whose footsteps we are following? If people can be born Christians, then the coming and death of Christ was of no effect. So dont be deserved by people saying you cant be a Christians with such Church mates,but preach the message to your friends and church mates till they get mercy that you also got. You are not Christian because you from a well marketed church. You not a Christian because you associate yourself with Christians . But it take renewing of mind . Let’s get that clear, To become a Christian, you must one day repent of all your sins after you’ve heard the gospel and give your life to Christ. After that, study your Bible to be trained on how to live a successful Christian life we you dont understand ask a born again Christian for clarity. Thou art shall not judge. Only God knows His appointed and anointed ones.. However we not need not to be arrogant as the word warns us that in the last days there would be false prophets, teachers, lovers of money and so forth, hence the word warns us to always discern the spirits. The people were cut by the word, and they didnt keep quiet about it they asked what can they do.....now that is taking action after realizing that they were indeed in sin. 2. After being told that they need to repent and be baptized...what did they do, they took action again to do what was told to them (got baptized). I am currently doing a study on the book of Galatians where Paul is addressing the issue of the Galatians turning away from the truth (word of God) and listening to the false teachers (teachers of the law) called Judaizers. These people never read the bible but they always listened to the interpretations of what other people say about the bible. They (Judaizers) also discredited Pauls teachings and his calling but I love Paul because he talks about his life before he became a disciple and his was not called by man but God himself on the road to Damascus. We also need to be like the Bereans (Read about it in Acts 17:10-13) where they scrutinized and examined the scriptures to test what Paul and Silas were teaching was true. We ought not to judge for God has the power to do so. What I love is that we are living our lives with the hope that one day we will go to heaven but then this is what will happen on that day Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? 23And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.
