Can I make a request of cache owners specifically those with caches which have a terrain of 1. A terrain of one is supposed to be handicapped accessible. I remember when I placed my very first cache I indicated it had a terrain of one and the reviewer came back to me and asked if it truly was handicapped accessible. When I checked it, it really wasnt. So I ask please doublecheck your terrain one caches. I understand there are different levels of handicap and therefore different levels of accessibility but its probably better to be safe than sorry. I had surgery on my foot a couple of months ago and have limited mobility. Im feeling a lot better and thought I would go Geocaching. I downloaded all the geocaches I havent found with a terrain of one and have yet to find one I can get to. It is particularly frustrating when I make a special trip to go there. I cant jump curbs. While the one by the store sign didnt have a curb I figured I would trample the flowers and the shrubs (something I could avoid with two good feet) and doubt that the property owners would appreciate that. The one at the top of the hill (a steeper hill than it might look when you can walk) was technically accessible, I just needed someone to push me up the hill and I didnt have that. Now, I can stand sort of, but definitely cant do tippytoe. Dont get me wrong I am not asking you place handicap accessible geocaches, just if theyre not really handicapped accessible make the terrain at least a 1.5. I hope I didnt step on anyones toes with the criticism.
