Can I please ask everyone to do a little action that will really help highlight MSD privacy issues. Can you please put in writing that they wish to have your entire file from MSD released to them under the privacy act. Hand this in to your local WINZ office, and make sure you get a photo copy of the request and get them to stamp it with the date and sign it. It should be sent to you within 20 days, or you will be asked to come to the office and pick it up in this timeframe. Those that do this, can you please email me: olive.mcrae@gmail Or add me as a friend and message me when you have your file. I would especially like to hear from people who receive their file via the post, and particularly those on rural delivery. The purpose of this exercise is: 1. so that more people have access to their personal information, and can read what is on their file, and ask for any corrections to be made under the public records act if there is information that is not correct. 2. To assess which MSD offices are sending files in the post verses which offices make you come and pick it up with ID. (This is very important for a current case I am fighting against MSD) 3. To assess how many people that get a copy of their file, also receive information that belongs to someone else by mistake. (If this happens to you please contact me right away, before the media or any MPs) Feel free to re-post this message far and wide, and I will try to get back to everyone that responds, however please be patient as it may take me sometime to get through everyone.
