Can Trees Regrow? Simon is a Chiropractor and the first in his family to follow Jesus. Simon called home and heard sadness in his parent’s voice. They live on a five-acre property and have always been passionate gardeners. The pride of their property is a driveway of mature Rosewood trees. For the last 5 years a disease similar to Dutch Elm disease has been decimating this variety of tree in their area. For the past 3 years they have fought as hard as they could to protect their trees with horticultural techniques, but they have been losing the whole time. The trees have been dying from one end and progressing. Simon the Chiropractor had a strong conviction that his parents were being robbed. He was also reminded of our dominion over the planet (see Genesis 1:28) and felt confident in faith. He then said to his father “I know your beliefs are not the same as mine, but what is important to you is important to God. God has given us dominion and rule over the planet, including your trees. I am going to pray and all you need to do is check for new growth.” Simon rang back two weeks later and asked his father how the trees were doing. His father was a bit uncomfortable and not convinced, but said that it was funny because the first TREE THAT HAD DIED THREE YEARS AGO HAD STARTED SHOOTING NEW GROWTH ALL OVER! Simon then encouraged his father that there was more to come!
