Can You Get Behind Closed Doors? A speech given at - TopicsExpress

Can You Get Behind Closed Doors? A speech given at Toastmasters, Susquehanna Icebreakers, on August 19, 2014. This speech is intended to get people to think about how they can influence people in their sphere of influence. Why? Because there are people who needs us, people who might be in trouble in one of many ways, and they are struggling on their own. Because most times, people are not going to tell you that they have a serious problem they are confronting, and they cannot get it solved on their own, or even with the help they may be getting. How do we find out if they need help? How do we know if we should be part of helping them? To determine that, we need to get behind closed doors in some form of relationship. We are not looking for their problems, to get involved in them, but if a need becomes apparent, how are we going to respond? You can bet that there are some serious issues going on behind closed doors that we pass everyday. We might be shocked at who has those problems. Do we care? Or are we just going about our own business, because thats what we do? I invite you to listen to this speech and think about its message. You may be the one who someone needs to help them to keep from doing something drastic. YOU MAY BE THE ONE. Are you up to the task? https://youtube/watch?v=jENU99QJjjQ&index=2&list=PL5lZGsw4pfExPyw52I39jmu1AybOFidJ4
