Can a dress represent a courageous story of a student-led - TopicsExpress

Can a dress represent a courageous story of a student-led initiative to close a racial divide? Mareshia Rucker, 19, wore a red dress to the Integrated Prom 2013 for graduating students of Wilcox County High School in Abbeville, Georgia. Up until last year, prom night had been a racially segregated event with white students and black students each having their own. The dress is already at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and hopefully Rucker and the other three prom organizers will be able to travel to Winnipeg to see it next month.
