Can anyone foster this dog? Please contact Kristina Young. UPDATE - WILL BE GOING TO CACC 1/6/15. SO PLEASE NETWORK THE HELL OUT OF THIS!! ABANDONED DOG NEEDS HOME! This dog was found tied to a fence at Wicker Park and left out in the cold overnight. A concerned person found her still there this morning running around and shivering like crazy - it is believed she chewed through whatever she was tied to. She seems slightly older, has a gray muzzle and seems shy but we had no problem handling her, feeding her treats, and putting a collar on her. She did start to get a little defensive once we put her in the crate - we think she doesnt like the crate and it is making her more afraid; however, she is fine once outside of it. We think her hip may be bothering her and seems sensitive to the touch. As she is a stray she will be going to Chicago Animal Care & Control and I am afraid she wont be given long there. I will post her intake # as soon as I have it. I think she has been through a lot and deserves a good home for once with someone who wont abandoned her to a fence in freezing temperatures. Kristina is very worried about her, she is going to go downhill fast at CACC. She isnt doing well currently being housed in a crate, hasnt stopped shaking and becoming more and more nervous. She wasnt like that when she first arrived, I think its being locked up and terrified which is causing her to start getting defensive. Because of this I was told she wouldnt be a fit for our program, I think she is just scared and needs some time and patience (outside of a crate or cage). From Kristina Young - Because she is going downhill fast being in a crate in a small room I dont think she will pass the temperament test at the rescue I work at and be able to pull her once she becomes city property at CACC. She was fine outside the crate, let everyone handle her and was very sweet. Inside the crate she growls and barks but did settle down for me after I sat there talking to her for awhile and fed her treats. I see her getting worse at CACC, she just needs to be in a loving home where she feels save and loved. Hoping I can find a foster and rescue to help her. She is trying her very best to have this dog NOT go to CACC. Can ANYONE foster this dog? When sharing please make public and tag everyone you know. Contact Kristina Young if you can help this dog.
