Can anyone give an hour or two of their time tomorrow (Thursday Jan 15th) to help us dig out, clear and plant out this neglected flower bed. Its just outside the flats at the end of Llynlloedd Lane next to the Co-op in Mach Postcode SY20 8AU. Most of the residents of the flats are elderly or have disabilities and the Housing Association doesnt have money in its budget to look after the gardening so its permanently abandoned. But once its cleared and planted it will be easy to maintain. In particular we need someone who can do the digging. We have the seeds etc and some tools but perhaps someone would want to bring their own fork or spade if they prefer their own. I have a van for clearing the debris as we go and I can come and pick up any volunteer and take them home again if thats any help. It might suit someone who has to come into Mach anyway to do other things so this would be a free lift for them. They can be taken home any time they choose between arrival and the evening. But anyone who needs the lift will have to arrange it with me in time. Im available on Facebook for a Message all evening and early in the morning. The work starts at 10am and the length of time it takes depends who what assistance we have. A strong bloke whos good with digging wouldnt take very long.
