Can anyone help a friend with this? He is the technical editor at Kiwibiker and a top bloke. He writes........ I need some help. In two and a half weeks time, I leave NZ, bound for the Goodwood Revival Festival in the U.K. I wont be just any old visitor, or even just another competitor. Ok, well, maybe I will be just another competitor, but I will be the teammate of former world champion and motorcycling legend, Kevin Schwantz. I may have my photo taken. Which brings me to the point of this plea. I havent got a stitch to wear! The Goodwood Revival festival requires all competitors to wear period clothing at all times. This is not just some fancy dress party which can be accommodated by a trip to the opp shop either. I need the real deal; well fitted, smart looking, 1950s clothing, suitable for a motoring gentleman. A military uniform would be ideal (but not naval because, well, you know...) Does anyone out there have an old uniform they would be willing to loan to a careful borrower? Perhaps a family heirloom which could be used in a way which would make grandad proud? Any takers...?
