Can anyone honestly say that our policing and judicial system have not been politicised? Last year the Crown office spent months highlighting convictions for the authoritarian Offensive Behaviour Act in its press releases. Apparently there were no murders or rapes etc. worthy of highlighting during that time. Mainly it is daft huns pleading guilty who are convicted. They would have been convicted using existing laws, since it is discriminatory behaviour they tend to indulge in. That is the nub of this story. Griffiths could and probably should have been arrested on a racially aggravated charge. Why the hell are they using an arguably lesser and definetly harder to prove charge? Political policing anyone? Considering the incident occured 6 months ago. Im sure it is just coincidence that the arrest occuring as it does in the same week as we play the resurrected North British establishment club.
