Can anyone out there give me a hand? Looking for some info before I rush to the vet. My 11 month old black lab was neutered 3 weeks ago. Everything was healing perfectly, and the stitches are now all dissolved. Right beside the where the incision was is now red and looks very irritated. He is not trying to scratch or lick it, There is no discharge, he is not indicating any pain or discomfort when the surrounding area is touched, he is eating and drinking well and still has the same high energy level as always. Pics related. Anyone else have this happen to their dog after a neuter?
