Can anyone recommend a decent lawyer? Ive imported a classic British vehicle, have had the required inspections carried out, paid all of the import duties in full, obtained permission to use and register the vehicle here in Panama, and have already insured the same. The customs officer in Manzanillo however, refuses to release the car as he claims it is illegal, being right hand drive. (Apparently this does not apply to the other right hand drives recently imported...) Having spent over a week banging my head against a brick wall and amassing ridiculous quantities of paperwork, I need to get this sorted ASAP as the next option is to put the thing back on a ship heading back to the UK.
