Can anyone tell me why there is a $600 million dollar limited rail - TopicsExpress

Can anyone tell me why there is a $600 million dollar limited rail proposal on the table (that wont carry passengers until probably 2019 at the soonest) but The Wire cant get any traction in any US cities? 1/5 the cost of light rail, multiple times the capacity of even the most extensive subway systems. And businesses would fund stops or at least subsidize them because of the advantage of being on The Wire. Imagine the Whole Foods stop. Jos SoCo stop. There would be huge competition to be on the wire. Limited environmental impact, limited traffic disruption. Easy connections to suburbs and outlying city areas. Oh and it could be up and running in a couple years, not 5. youtu.be/55TDpeU3l2Q
