Can it be ignored taking as simple coincidence? (1) Religious riots have jolted western UP after 26 years, earlier were in 1992. (2) Army has been called to enforce order after 21 years (3) Army called in for peace maintenance in UP only thrice. All three times SP was ruling party and either Mulayam Singh Yadav or Akhilesh were CM (4) Shia Sunni clashes happened during Ramadan after 1997. (5) Faizabad where riots not happened even after Babri Mosque issue witnessed riots last year (6) Even when the Babri masjid judgment came in 2010, in all 75 districts, in entire 2.4 lakh square KM, not even a single stone was hurled. (7) Law & order situation was excellent in mayawati;s term, though same cannot be said on corruption front, but corruption is anytime better then communal riots
