Can it be that we prefer the imitation to the authentic? Christopher Hitchens Animal Planet seems to think that viewers want only sensationalized versions of wildlife, and Monster Week pulls out all the stops. Last nights segment was about wolves: “Razor sharp teeth, killer instincts, and senses so precise they hear your beating heart, and your fear. They’re on the hunt, and now with numbers growing out of control, they’re threatening humans like never before.” The trailer asserts that rampaging wolves have wiped out their natural prey, so they are attacking humans for food. This is beyond hype and hysteria for money and ratings. But you be the judge. And if you want to contact Discovery (corporate parent of Animal Planet), you can post a comment. corporate.discovery/contact/viewer-relations/ Its very slow. . .overloaded with comments perhaps? Also, here is a phone number - this works! 571-262-4899
