Can someone from the immigration department or home affairs justify the reason behind the 320% passport hike? Is it for the benefit of malawians or for the selfish few individuals in government? to say the truth malawi is a country of very few opportunities and anthu ambiri omwe akugwila ntchito all they want is to raise some money n acquire a passport kut apite pa joni akayese kuzisaka, most of the developmnt you seein terms of houses in places like mangochi, mzimba, nkhatabay etc have been built by people who went to work in RSA , tanzania etc, nde mundiuze inuyo kut mmene yakwelela passport anthu amenewa azitani? Besides that in the absence of the malawi national identity the passport is simply our identity and an identity is simply supposed to be affordable!
