Can someone please explain to me why, after retiring in 2010 with 28 years of service at 51 years old, I dont get a raise on my pension check till 2019? And why I dont get the 3% annual cola yearly now? And why, Im told by the pension board, that I will only get 1.5% when it does start in 2019 if I live that long? And why my 24 yr old daughters insurance was dropped by the city on her 22nd birthday while she was still in college? And why the city and the FOP didnt inform me of this while attending 3 retirement seminars? I was born in 1959, retired in good standing and cant get an answer that sounds reasonable. Please someone tell me. I feel like Im being punked.
