Can someone tell me what Musalia Mudavadi has done for Sabatia people in 24 yrs?. Here is what Moses Akaranga did for one term he served in parliament. In 2002, he was elected as M.P for Sabatia Constituency. He served as a Commissioner with Parliamentary Service Commission and Chairperson Parliamentary Staff Welfare Committee. In 2003, he was appointed as an Assistant Minister for Agriculture and in 2004 he became Minister of State for Public Service in the Office of the President. During his tenure as a Minister, Kenya was awarded the most prestigious public Service trophy-The United Nations Public Service Award. He is also hailed for initiating the Performance Contracting in the Public Service, introduction of the Rapid Results Initiative program (RRI), oversaw review of salaries of Civil servants and increment of pension to all retired civil servants. He also lobbied and led to the creation of Hamisi and Emuhaya districts in Vihiga County. As M.P for Sabatia, he improved and developed infrastructure in public institutions, expanded the Rural Electrification Programmes, initiated the construction of Mbale and Chavakali markets and spearheaded the re-carpeting and tarmacking of Mudete-Majengo and Sitendikisa-Yala roads respectively. He has been a member of the National Humanitarian Advisory Board in charge of the resettlement of IDPs in the Office of the President.
