Can you believe it’s been 3 years since I raised over £1000 for Cancer Research UK by running the Birmingham half marathon? I’ve decided it’s time to do something for charity again. With Movember coming up next month, I’m going to do something hair related. I’ve grown the silly 70’s moustache in recent years so this time I plan to do something a little different... something more terrifying than a parachute jump and far harder than a half marathon. If I can raise £500 in October I will shave off all the hair on my head on November 1st. Anyone that knows me will know how much time and money I spend on my hair and how difficult this would be. Its cut and dyed every three weeks (yes I am white now) and I must be keeping the local supermarket going with product sales. I would like to raise the money for Cancer Research UK again. We have all been affected by cancer in some way, we all know someone that’s lost a loved one to it, if we haven’t ourselves. Every penny that goes towards defeating this horrendous disease brings us closer to better treatments and hopefully one day a cure.
