Can you believe this?? My problems with the V.A. started when I chose to wean down off my non-working pills. They should be supporting me on that. I have been trying to call the Nurse to my Doctor leaving messages everyday for a week just wanting an appointment. Not until I threatened to stand at her door everyday and also find a lawyer did she call back 5 minutes later. I got the appointment but it is a whole month from now and out of spite I have to take a drug test before seeing my Doctor. This doctor is new to me. I asked what her experience in the medical field is and how long she has been practicing. The nurse said You dont have the right to know that and all you need to know is that she went through Med school I said as a patient of hers I have every right. I then asked her who is farther up the chain of command and who is her boss. She said I have no right to that information also. After making calls I finally found out. I have yet to talk to her boss. In the past I went downtown and filed out a form applying for a new doctor. That was 5 months ago and the Patient Advocate shows no record for it. Im assuming it was thrown in the trash when I left. To top things off, my Nurse hung up on me as I was talking. This is a full time job just trying to get healthcare. Thus far I have cut 10 pills out of my daily diet on my own. The hardest and most miserable was the anti-epileptic they had me on. Im not crazy. I am a kind and fun loving person. when someone pushes me I blow it off but when someone keeps it up, I refuse to take it anymore
