Can you envision yourself in our 2015 Production Les Misérables taking on the stage? The Auditions are coming up! November, 1st and 2nd, 2014 Led by Artistic Director Ray Saar, and Program Director, Bruce Barbee Open to all 6th through 12th graders Please read all information on the AUDITION PROCESS below: To all who participated in the audition workshops/master classes, thank you for joining us at Youth Musical Theatre. We hope you feel better prepared for the upcoming auditions. Anyone is welcome to try out at the auditions. Please read all information regarding the auditioning process, and come back as we will continue to update the information. AUDITIONING PROCESS Auditions, Part 1: Saturday, November 1st, 2014 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in the Community Room (when you come into the building, turn left, and go down the corridor to the very end). Everyone needs to be there the entire time! After Part 1 of the auditions, the Artistic Director, Ray Saar, and the Program Director, Bruce Barbee, will issue call-backs for Sundays Auditions Part 2. The call-back information will be sent to you per email late Saturday afternoon. If you are called back, then you must be with us on Sunday, the 2nd, from 1:30 pm to 6:00pm (again, in the Community Room). If you are not called back, you do not need to come on the 2nd of November for Auditions, Part 2. Remember, EVERYONE who auditions will be in the show. There are lots and lots of parts, which you will be considered for. Auditions, Part 2: Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 from 1:30pm to 6:00pm (1:00pm to 1:30pm for those who didn’t make it to the Audition Part 1) at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts Should you have an unavoidable conflict and cannot be with us on the 1st, then you need to be at Auditions Part 2, on November 2nd, 2014, at 1:00pm in the Community Room. We will audition you between 1:00pm and 1:30pm, and will let you know right away, whether you need to stay for call-backs, which is the rest of the afternoon. If you are not called back, you are free to leave after your audition. PLEASE NOTIFY BRUCE BARBEE IN ADVANCE, IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2014 FOR AUDITIONS PART 1. Even, if you only want to be in the ensemble, you still must audition. Bring with you to the audition sheet music for the song you wish to audition with. Music should be placed in a binder, or at least have the pages taped together. Remember to pick a song that shows off your voice in a manner appropriate for the part (s) you are interested in. ************************************************************************************** PAYMENT OF PARTICIPATION FEES: Participation Fee for the program year 2014/2015 is $550.00 per person. $275.00 (half of the participation fee) is due at the time of auditions. This fee includes a non-refundable auditioning fee of $50.00. Should you decide, subsequent to auditions, and no later than November 16, not to be in the show, you will be refunded $225.00. If you want to join the Youth Musical Theatre production, the remaining $275.00 must be paid no later than March 1, 2015. If you attended the workshops and chose to defer payment, be sure to include that fee with your participation fee check. Checks should be made payable to Youth Musical Theatre, and brought with you to your audition. If it is more convenient, you may mail the payment to: Youth Musical Theatre Attn.
