Can you help following a handbag theft from a car on Idsworth Road in the Baffins area of Portsmouth? A 34-year-old woman who was driving a blue Renault Megane stopped at the Cobden Avenue junction at around 9pm on Wednesday, May 7, to help a man who was asking for directions. She reported that he reached inside her car and took her beige satchel-style handbag containing a blackberry phone and £280 in cash. He was seen running away towards Lynton Grove. The victim described the man as: • White. • Mid twenties. • Average build. • 5ft 8ins tall. • Short fair hair. • Wearing light tracksuit bottoms.
