**Can you offer a forever home to any of these animals?** Scores of animals at RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre are in desperate need of a home. More than 100 animals are currently at the centre - and among them are dogs Ruby, Bonzo and Prince, who are patiently waiting for a new owner to come along and whisk them away to start a brand new life. Ruby, a three-year-old Staffie is a lovely lady, who sadly has been in our care for more than 10 months.She arrived, cold, wet and starved to the point that she looked like a walking skeleton. Kennel and cattery supervisor at the centre, Chris Butler, said: “It was hard to think how someone could have allowed her to get into such a state and then abandon her on a deserted country lane. “Ruby has a lot of love to give and absolutely loves human company. She is an intelligent girl who will require an active home with boundaries and guidance to help her to settle in.” Bonzo has sadly been stuck in kennels way too long - one year and counting in fact.The four-year-old pooch has turned his paws to clicker training since being at Bryn-y-Maen and is excelling at it. “He would really suit a family who are looking for a dog they can do some training with because hed absorb anything you had to teach him in no time,” said Chris. “He enjoys his daily social sessions with his other canine pals on the field and we think he could potentially live with another dog pending successful introductions at the centre.” Prince is a darling older boy who needs a second chance to find a forever home. At 10-years-old he originally came into RSPCA care after his previous owners neglected him. He was very thin after his ordeal but it doesnt seem to have impacted on his lovely nature. “Prince has a delightful temperament and even though he is slightly more mature in years he is still a young dog at heart and absolutely adores playing fetch with his toys,” said Chris. “He is looking for a home without cats but could live with other dogs.” The centre also has several cats that are looking for a new home. There are also a number of rabbits that have been at the centre for almost a year, and even some who have been residents for over a year. They include, Dumpling, Dale, Hazel, Merlin, Molly, Tucker, Carly and Murray. Chris said they would love to see all these animals find new loving homes. “All the staff and volunteers have a special place in their hearts for them all, but we would love to see them move onto new homes,” he said. “If anyone is interested in any of our animals, please come along and meet them in person!” If you think you can offer any of these animals the fresh start they are looking for then please get in touch to with the Bryn-y-Maen animal centre on 0300 123 0745 or at [email protected].
