WHAT: NJ National Guard State Teen Symposium WHO: NJ National Guard Teens ages 13-18 WHEN: 13-15 September 2013; drop off at 7:30pm on Friday night and pick up at 11:00am on Sunday morning WHERE: Radisson Hotel in Piscataway located at 21 Kingsbridge Road, Piscataway, New Jersey 08854 Phone: 732-980-0400 WHY: This is a free event for our NJ NG dependents with continued future participation in the NJ NG Child & Youth Program. During the weekend, we will be working with a national bestseller book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey. "Being a teenager is both wonderful and challenging. This ultimate teenage success book provides a step-by-step guide to helps teens improve their self-image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve goals, get along with parents, and more." We will have guest speakers and many, many activities for all to enjoy!!! **We will not be providing transportation for this event. **Money is not necessary. **We are asking each teen to bring 4-6 magazines that we can rip, tear and use for a project.
