Can you spot someone who has PKD? Not really. People who have PKD will often look normal and healthy on the outside. Inside, PKD is wreaking havoc on all their organs but the kidney is most affected. More than 50% of the people who have PKD will suffer from kidney failure and will need dialysis or transplant to live. There is no treatment to prevent, slow down or cure PKD. But there is HOPE.
