Can you truly pray for your enemies with genuine intentions? It was not the easiest thing for me some years ago because I feared in my heart that God might actually bless them and why would I want them to be blessed when they hurt me.... When you forgive someone as a Child of God and do as the Bible says love your enemies, pray for those who persecute us you not only open yourself to the pouring out of Gods favor and Glory upon your life but you lift a weight from yourself that only forgiveness can do. Unforgiveness hurts us more than the person who wronged us!!! Some of us wont let go of a person until they come to you and apologize, when you genuinely forgive someone and receive the peace & blessings that naturally comes after, that person doesnt ever have to apologize to you! Forgiveness is for YOU!!! Choose to put your humanly feelings aside and act on Gods word and before you know it, you begin to feel compassion for that person rather than hate.
