Canada: Kaneza Naomi calls for Rwandan votes in Miss Africa Montreal Published on 20-11-2013 - at 06:28 by Richard Mugarura A 19 year old beauty pageant Kaneza Naomi is set to participate in Miss Africa Montreal beauty contest. Kaneza is to compete among the group of 15, who will be representing African countries in Canada (Montreal). In this regard, Kaneza Naomi calls upon all Rwandans around the world to vote for her. She added that “I am here to represent Africa and also to promote my beautiful country, I also thank my mother who made me the person I am today and would also want to know more about the African culture”. This is the 4th time this contest is taking place, since the year 2011, whereby the contestants compete while expressing their African cultures starting from dressings and others depending on their countries of origin. The last time these contests took place, they were attended by 11 contestants excluding Rwandan representatives and the winner came to be Aminata Wurie from Sierra-Leone. The first run up was Arleta Ehode from Cameroon and the 3rd became Aissatou Barry from Guinea. Kaneza is competing with 15 beautiful contestants from Senegal, Benin, Mali, Guinea ,Equatorial Guinea represented by 2 contestants, Congo, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Senegal also represented by 2 contestants, Ivory coast and Cameroon also represented by 2 contestants. Gabon and Morocco didn’t participate this time, as they had appeared in the last contests.
