Canadian Tire Centre @ LeBreton Flats? The NCC is asking for development proposals for LeBreton Flats and its not ruling out a multi-purpose arena like Canadian Tire Centre. The site is 9.3 hectares (about 23 acres), across from the Canadian War Museum. The final project must be an anchor institution of “regional, national or international significance. MP John Baird says, “If we wanted to slap up some soulless, ugly condominiums we could do that very very quickly. But lets take the time to get it right. Canadian Tire Centre is 18 years old. NHL arenas have an average life cycle of 30 years. What do you think about putting the Ottawa Senators arena at LeBreton Flats? It would be right on the new LRT route.
