Canberra’s drivers hate bike riders. Which is slightly ironic when you consider the ACT has the highest participation rate (by percentage of population) in Australia. The The Canberra Times asked for readers to detail their pet peeves when on the road, and bike riders and pedestrians topped the list. While some might look at these responses with a tongue-in-cheek perspective, it gives additional importance to how the ACT Government will respond to the recommendations made by the Vulnerable Road User Inquiry.
